Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) They call themselves a "chamber jazz quartet", and this describes their music quite adequately. Compared to "of the waves" of 2012, there are much less "Canterbury" influences on "the farm ep", but the inspiration from their compatriot Joni Mitchell is quite obvious once again.

Oh Beauty 05:13
my happiness is the dark resilient earth the aching frozen earth beneath the snow and all my joy is a bulb down in the earth a sleeping bulb that does not wait in vain to grow oh bless the cloudy day that does not weep and bless the sunny day for it will keep me sane and curse this february cured with salt i say that if i'm lonely it is not my fault when it's raining it is not my fault when it rains oh beauty oh glory hallelujah oh let me speak to to ya of my pain oh horror oh boredom oh depression i'm gonna learn my lessons just the same my happiness is the shifting faithless sky the blessed brooding sky that scatters rain and all my joy is a cloud up in the sky the overcast that does not wait in vain to break oh curse the earth below that does not sleep and bless the ground beneath our feet it will renew and bless this summer that is soaked with rain i say that if i'm lonely i am not to blame when i'm with you

he spoke gentle words beside himself like the crackle of a fire i just stood by the notion that we'd set all hope aside we take we give we dream we are we hold our love like we're hanging on for life we're hanging on my eyes reflect the one i knew in the absence of light little regard for here and now when the past is in our sights you may not notice the trees while driving through these city miles but we're blind to the truth through granite walls if all we're looking for are lies

Stacks 05:34
your words like smooth flat stones stack up in my head in a lonely tower of contemplation it's a lovely arrangement that you made with smooth flat stones your eyes like pools of blue gather in my heart into perfect mirrors for reflection there's a beautiful affection in your gaze through blue and all the stones that you gathered by the bay though you pile them up to heaven they will not stay that way they will scatter your heart the light and heat glowing in my body where they curve like a question you could make a suggestion if you like with your heart and all the stones that you gathered by the bay though you pile them up to heaven they will not stay that way they will scatter and water clear and blue as the day will soon be too cold for our bodies to take it doesn't matter

let me be quite forgotten i want to be anonymous as a raindrop slightly off course and falling away from the sun let me be forgotten as the snow falls like a thousand thousand flowers from the red sun until our tracks are covered maybe the raindrop finds the slim wingbones of a bird among the cedars a bird who may have thought oh dear oh dear oh dear before dying
5.
hear the hope of waking songbirds but you're sequestered in your own tune autumn's near but you still can't feel her tear the calendar from the wall you race the clock to start the day you pack your bags the night before you go away and when you're gone you'd rather be home again and you wish the trip would end you were biding your time to leave and to chase the sun as it rises in the east feel the still air of summer but your mind is a hurricane now you're here but you're so damn tired and you can't sleep at schipol you race the clock to make your gate you thought your time was up so rush only to sit and wait you're many times gone the mountains lie in their humble wisdom and watch the drama of humankind somehow the birds avoid this turmoil but the lakes are getting tired we race the clock to change our ways but it's gonna take some consequence to save us from this fate
